Examination of the new organ in the Parish Church Helfenberg: "Without anticipating the result, the new organ in the parish church Helfenberg is to be called one of the most interesting and in its kind most convincing instruments of our century in Upper Austria. ..... In stylistic respect, the new instrument is based on the historical organ building in Upper Austria around the end of the 18th century, without intending a reconstruction however. The new instrument rather shows a synthesis of old and new principles of organ building what is special about this new organ, such as the consistent way of thinking and conception. ...... |
The already mentioned consistent method of construction appears in all details: In the finishing and construction of the wind chests, the pipes, the actions and the wind supply. All these parts have been manufactured in a very artistical way, and no deficiencies could be found during examination.
In this context I would like to point in particular to the two cuneiform bellows under the organ which are outstanding in their construction and dimensioning, so that this history-based wind supply ranks as one of the best ever built in our century.
The stop- and tracker key action functions in a smooth and precise way and allows a variety of differentiated, articulated play. ....
