Acceptance report new organ Protestant Parish A.B. Vienna-Hietzing ". ... The wind supply with one cuneiform bellow only, without chest bellows, shows once again that a so-called "free" wind supply with appropriate design of chest- and wind tunnel sections results in exceptional tones. Above all, the principals develop in the rather dry acoustics a wonderful, animated sound, singing and striking gently, that certainly makes the organ to one of the most beautiful in Vienna at the moment. Even the tremulant swinging tenderly on the whole wind is exemplary. |
The tracker key actions, one-armed (OW) and/or by means of pin (HW), are extremely direct and sensitive, in their variety very similar to a cembalo. Smoothness and precision both allow and require highest touch culture. With these actions a differentiated musical arrangement becomes a pleasure. Action noises arise in particular when organists' play is too hard, but are avoidable in principle. The workmanship of all action parts is of top quality. The stop action is smooth, pleasantly to operate in every respect and mostly quiet. .....
The exemplary principal sound has already been appreciated above, but it is to be emphasized that even the trebles never get a hard sound, but always sing and remain round. The same is valid for the mixtures: bright, straight, rather sharp, but never unpleasant. Therefore, HW and OW-plenum may be confronted in a wonderful way, even split sound registrations perform unusually round and convincing. An excellent and versatile mixture ability of the voices, equal balance of the partial works and a pedal trumpet marvellously imbedded in the plenum make the organ to a versatile instrument satisfying the highest standards. ......."
